A number of forces have disrupted the the complex world we live in. In this session, we will get to understand the forces better and its implications for leadership.

Effective decision making results in better execution of tasks, smoother coordination and less confusion among team members. Ultimately, it leads to higher productivity and an improved bottom line for the organisation.
In this session, you will learn and practice 3 key aspects of decision making:
Collaborative capacity: the ability to bring together diverse perspectives to develop inclusive, innovative, and effective solutions
Contextual thinking: the ability to consider problems in terms of the broader systems and contexts in which they are embedded, and
Cognitive complexity: the ability to think well about complex issues.

As an emerging leader, your previous success as an expert enabled you to get to where you are. The challenge is that your previous expertise is not guaranteed to help you make an impact in your new role. So how do you make an impact when you’re being asked to do more with less, when you have more stakeholders to manage and your context keeps changing. What does success look like when you’re making an impact and how do you go about making ti happen?
In this session, you will begin to understand why the traditional way of making an impact which no longer works. You will begin to learn a new model to make an impact and start getting recognised as a leader.

As Emerging leaders, you’re often required to present your ideas or the outputs of your projects to your team, peers, leaders. Often, you’re required to translate your strategy into execution.
The challenge is: how do you translate the strategy in a way that is well received and respond to questions so that your stakeholders are able to connect it and to understand their role in its execution?
In this session, you will learn a communication model that will set you up to deliver cogent communications.

In this lab, this is a great opportunity to practice presenting your leadership challenge.
You will present your leadership challenge, receive feedback from others and leave with actionable recommendations.

An opportunity to learn from other particpants’ experience as they apply these tools at work.
You will learn from other’s success and reflect on areas of improvement.

After module 3, you will work with a member of the faculty to define a business project.
The capstone offers an opportunity to “show case“ the application of the content to the business project.
8 weeks of Live Sessions
In every 1 ½ hour live call, we’ll do a deep dive into topic area using tangible tools and concepts from evidence-backed research such as Immunity to Change and more.

The program faculty will be with you live every week, guiding you through the program and providing individualised support within the group container to help you integrate this work into your daily life.
Case Consultations
Participant will get the opportunity to work on a personal project “a case“ and get feedback from the faculty and members in their cohort.
Practical Tools
This isn’t your typical “sit back and learn” course. We’ll be exploring every topic, tool and exercise together, and you’ll also have daily invitations to practice applying what you learn!
Optimal 1:1 Sessions
This is currently the only way to book 1:1 sessions with the Coaches! During your time in the program, you have the option to book up to (6) individual sessions at an additional cost.
We meet (in person or virtually) regularly to take stock of progress and challenges, practice proven communication techniques, and maintain progress towards your stated goals. The ongoing application and reflection not only strengthens your awareness, but also enhances your leadership presence and communication to achieve the outcomes that matter most.
Ongoing Discussion
This will happen at a pre-determined time. A link will be e-mailed out for the Slack chat room (available on your phone or computer). When you click the link, you will be prompted to make an account. Then, you will then enter the chat room.
The Slack meet-up and online community will always be available at the same link. This can be found in any of the Slack reminder emails and the meeting Invite.
*In the reminder email, you will also get a link to a TypeForm questionnaire that will be used for the weekly Slack meet-up. Use this as a tool to ask questions on implementing. Like the pre-teaching check-ins, you will receive the link 24 hours prior to the weekly Slack meet-up. All questions must be submitted 8 hours prior to the meet-up or I will not be able to answer your question!
We will have one hour to go over your submitted questions. After the meet-up, please sign out and take these skills to your real word! I know it’s tempting to keep talking with each other, but there is no cross coaching allowed. For everyone to get the best results, I want to keep this as structured as possible.

If you can't make a session, not to worry! All calls will be uploaded to your portal so you can view them any time throughout the program. For Q&A weeks, you’ll also be able to pre-submit questions prior to the calls so they’ll still get answered!

This is most comprehensive program from Vertical Development Consulting.
Cohorts are kept small and all sessions are taught live by a faculty and there will be plenty of opportunities for individualised support during our time together.
